I would definitely recommend this service, especially if there is no one else around to attend the appointment. If you're going by yourself and you need a second pair of ears, or someone to listen and write things down, it's definitely a good idea.
I really enjoyed that reporting aspect of the job. I had my opportunity to be with the client and to spend time interacting with them but then this gave me my opportunity to be a nurse. In that environment I got to take notes and really got to do my job - and that aspect just made me feel complete.
When at the doctors office it is easy to get a little nervous. With iAccompany the nursing professional can settle you down, chit chat, and befriend you which is very comforting. Sandra was there as a participant and was able to understand what was going on - so it was nice to have someone there.
I would definitely recommend it to any friends or family that do have aging parents or relatives in their life. It helps give them peace of mind that if they can't go with their loved one to an appointment - that someone is there that wants to be there, and to help them fully understand what happened at the appointment.
My sister found it comforting to have the nurse with her in the car. It put her at ease going into the appointment and also gave me peace of mind knowing she had someone to go with her.
